In this half-day workshop, we will explore how the principles of adventure can create communities that care for the whole person. 

In building our own supportive learning community, we will explore transferrable practices to bring use with our own group. 

In this workshop, we will experience meaningful reflection through meaningful play. The activities we choose for our groups matter, and in this workshop we will work through sequencing activities to meet the needs of your community.  

Participants will explore ways to adapt activities and sequences to their age level and setting. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Play through activities and reflections to build your personal resource bank 

  • Practice thoughtfully incorporating SEL skills into engaging activities for all ages  

  • Build a fun, positive, and professional learning environment to mirror with your groups

Location: Project Adventure - Beverly, MA

Lunch will not be provided.

  • This workshop is not eligible for graduate credits.

  • Workshop registration cancellation policy: If you register and can’t attend, please let us at two weeks prior to the workshop. No shows without cancellation notice will forfeit all tuition cost paid.

  • Purchase Orders: If your school or organization will be using a Purchase Order, please email registration@pa.org to register. A copy of the Purchase Order will need to be submitted to that same email address to finalize the registration.
