Adventure Games for Learning Review (In-Person)
Make learning review active and memorable with this adventure-based learning workshop! Designed for educators and others who work with students who want to transform study sessions into dynamic experiences, this workshop will introduce a variety of adaptable games that can be applied across subjects, grade levels, and settings.
Adventure games activate students’ brains in unique ways—creating new neural pathways and reinforcing existing ones. Participants will play and explore versatile games that can be customized to review key concepts in any subject from math, science, language arts, history and more. You'll learn how to modify these activities for your content, and throughout the school year to maintain novelty.
With benefits from reducing test anxiety, fostering community, and boosting student engagement, this workshop provides tools to create a positive environment to support effective review and content retention for the long term. Whether you're prepping for standardized assessments, reviewing at the end of an after-school program, or giving classroom quizzes and projects, you'll leave with strategies to make learning stick and help students build confidence as they take on a growth mindset and new study strategies. Walk away with idea to make review sessions effective all year long and tailor them to your content areas. For anyone who works with students!

Experience games and study strategies that support review and retention
